Dear All Thanks for your replies so far! My tappets are definately noisier than they should be. I know that MG tappets like to trum but I think I have one or possibly two that are a bit slack. It is a 1907 BGT with 130K+ on the clock and one very careful owner i.e. my granfather. The engine is in pretty good order but obviously is showing its age. What do you recommend? Cheers again Matt |
