When we decided to name the original British car mail list, we picked SOL as an
acronem and decided it would stand for Scions Of Lucas. This was chosen
specifically so as not to be sex biased.
The other choices were Sons of Lucas or Daughters of Lucas. Scions was the
comprimise in the great war of the sexes.
