I just subscribed to the MG specific list after having subscribed to the
Brit Cars list some time ago. If you are having trouble finding a part for
your B I may be ablt to help. A couple months ago I convinced a club
member/parts hoarder to let me offer some parts on the Brit Cars net list.
Due to his being unfamiliar with this "internet thing" he hesitantly agreed.
Well, after selling a trans and a couple parts he now sees the value and has
agreed to unload anything and everything. Specifically, he's been hoarding
B parts for thirty years, with a ton of post-70 parts. His garage is floor
to ceiling with parts, and he even built an addition to house axles,
engines, and body parts! Yes, he does have early and late-model overdrives,
and yes they are expensive. Otherwise, all the parts are very reasonably
priced and in fine condition including switches, lamps, etc.. E-mail me
with your wish list and I'll get prices for you.
What's in it for me? Well, this guy was a complete savior during my recent
rebuild of a 69 B and continues to be an invaluable help as I wade into
"de-clunking" my rear axle. Simple put, if I can help him sell some of his
parts collection it raises his patience level when I ask him a thousand dumb
questions.
