Allen,
After reading your post I had to go and do some reading. I found that the
first car number for the GT built for model year 74 1/2 was:
GHD5UE/361101. This puts that GT definitely in the chrome years. I
couldn't find the month that the rubber bumpers started, but I too thought
they started prior to 8/74.
