| As I proceed with this project car, I'm doing various metalwork parts,
leaving bare steel to rust until I can get to the painting part. I know that
it's important to select a 'system' of paint from primer to finish coat, and
I havent yet chosen any of that, and I dont have a paint booth set up now
anyway. For example, I just finished some sheet metal and lead work on the
dashboard, and I dont want it to just rust while I complete other parts of
the car.
Is there some universal 'pre-primer' in a handy aerosol can I can spray on
as a protective finish until I get to the real painting? I'm hoping for
something that wont interfere with real primer later ... maybe something that
I can just wipe off with a solvent rag later?
