Glenn-

I don't have a Moss catalog handy, but the thermo switch goes in the
radiator. For a '77, you do not need a bracket. The switch is held in
by a rubber gasket. Do not use the '79/80 switch, as it has a higher
turn on point to promote higher engine temps, in an attempt to lower
emissions- you know, shorter engine life, less emmissions-

Try to get the Jag version of the rubber fitting, higher quality, last longer.
Remember, the rubber fitting is a ONE TIME USE !
When you remove & replace the switch, you need a new rubber. Shut up, Ian!

The water pump pulley for a long water pump Chevy V8 is a good
choice. These are common at speed shops in chrome. The center hole is
correct, but the bolt pattern may not match, so you will have to drill
4 new holes. Some water pumps had dual pattern mounting holes on the
hub, but I have not seen any lately.

The temp sender is for an electric water temp gauge, is this what you have? The
sernder should go into the front of the intake manifold, assuming you have a
Buick/Olds manifold. It is a large hole on the passenger side. You may need a
reducer fitting, brass, from the hardware or auto parts store. I believe the
manifold is tapped 1/2" NPT- pipe thread.

The small pipe is, indeed, the overflow outlet, & does connect to the
expansion tank. Any MGB or late Midget tank can be used. My own choice
is a tank from a TR7 or TR8, mounted as high as possible in the rear
of the engine compartment. This tank has a nipple for the overflow
line, & a larger outlet for a line to T into the heater line or an
extra fitting in the radiator. This design makes it easier to
completely fill the radiator, & helps eliminate air pockets.

I have 2 complete FI systems from '80 Rovers, including ECU, fuel pump, fuel
filters, etc @ $250.00 each if anyone is interested.
