Ron, I've seen several of these 215 cubic inch alum v-8 engines on dynos
and 200hp is a rare sight without a lot of expensive head, cam, carb and
compression modifications. The best "out-of-the-crate" engines were the
hi-po Oldsmobile engines with 10 plus compression ratios, 4 barrel
carters and a cam. They would pull an average around 160hp.
