On a heavily modified V-8 B, we removed the heater unit and ducted air in 
from the cowl that normally feeds the interior of the car.  This works well 
as the air is ambient temp.  Obviously this will not work for a stock car.  I 
have considered ducting down between the frame rails and the engine near the 
radiator, utilizing remote K-N filters, but space is limited.  I have not yet 
tried it.
