Hi Doug,
   The instructions in the workshop manual are accurate. 
   There are no snares to the job. Once the headlamp bracket bolts are
out, do not allow any weight on the fenders as they rely on those bolts
for support. 
    To unscrew the nuts below the front cross member, try wrapping a
wrench in tape or cloth so it does not scratch the splash panel, then
reach between rad and splash panel to turn the nuts.  As they are
loosened they move down and out of reach. When that happens, two wooden
shingles can be pushed between rad and the Xmember to raise rad so that
the nuts are again accessible. Repeat as needed.
