TD2 is part of the engine number as in XPAG/TD2/9999 and refers
primarily to the engine having the flywheel to take the 8" clutch vice
the older 7 1/2" clutch. The TD MKII was a hotted up version of the
TD. It has a head with larger valves and, as Lew and Blake stated dual
fuel pumps, 1 1/2" carbs and Andrex adjustable friction shocks fitted in
addition to the regular shocks. The 1 1/2" carbs are fitted with
pancake air filters as on the TF, thus the necessity for the "power
bulge" on the right hand bonnet side panel. The TD MKII could be fitted
with the XPAG/TD/9999 engine or XPAG/TD2/9999 engine, depending on the
year. The car number for a TD MKII is TDc/9999/(market code).

Cheers,
Dave
