Dan,
I had the same problem on the right-hand side when I first put my PA
together. I determined the problem was that the spacer between the bearings
was too long, preventing the bearings from fully seating against the
shoulder inside the hub. I measured the amount of movement in and out of the
hub then machined that much off the spacer. After reassembly, the problem
was no longer there.
