Hi Viv,
The Lucas Cat. 1935 lists CFR L2 as Ordering Number 332 037. Neither Sunbeam 
or Talbot are listed in the cat.
CFR L2 is crossed reference with CF3/6v/L  (6 Volt)
This was used on the following Austin models.
1934/35   7hp.
1932/33  10hp.
As a double check, if the unit is operable, the coil should close with about 
7-8 volts I would imagine.
You should be able to get it rewound 12V.
