You might look into the small sealed lead acid batteries used for alarms and
emergency lighting. A 4ah 12V battery weighs 4-5#, cost about $20. They come
in a large variety sizes and configurations. If you have an Uninterruptable
Power Supply for your computer it probably has one inside.
