But it stimulates other thoughts---I think the notion that we are "addicted"
to oil is ridiculous nonsense, we use oil for cars, trains, and planes
simply because it's presently the most convenient and lowest cost
transportation "fuel"
Before 1900, were we "addicted" to horses?
3000 years ago, were we "addicted" to walking?
