Well, it looks like 5052 is the way to go for gastanks. The final argument, 5052 is cheaper, quite a bit via my local metals place. So, 5052 is more easily formed, less crack prone, very weldable, and cheaper, what more could I want? ;o) I'll probably use 0.055" thick sheet, with 6061 for the angle mounting brackets and the fitting bungs. -Aron- |
