jb , i read somewhere that the naca duct was used for rad cooling intake and
did not provide sufficient flow. so use a fan ?

with that said , you have to remember and know something about air flow over
a surface then you have to know that the naca duct depends highly on "
boundary " air or that air that is directly attached to the surface it is
flowing over . if the air seperates from this surface it will be highly
detrimental to the naca ducts efficiency.
probably the reason the naca did not work in the example in a prior mail was
the fact that this boundary air existed at low speeds but seperated when the
vehicle was moving faster .
put a few drops of heavy oil ( rear end lube ) or something that will flow
with wind pressure all over the car and run it down the monster mile then
examine all the drops and see where they spread to and how far, that will
give a good indication of how the air is flowing over the car. you may be
surprised at where some of it goes. have to find some way to get wind tunnel
like results from backyard engineering lol
