| i've been following the discussions on finding a means of measuring lift on a
salt racer.
the strain gage idea sounds pretty good if you can filter the noise. it's the
same device used in wind tunnels.
i was wondering if there is a way to measure the pressure drop (or increase)
on the top surface of the vehicle via vacuume tubes or something. there is a
small aeroplane that compares pressure drops across the wing surfaces to keep
the plane stable in flight, but i can't remember the name--might be a mooney
or aerocoup. if you could generate a strong enough vacume signal you could
monitor (data ac) the change and look for a trend as speed increased on
successive runs. just wondering
