In 24 hours I'll be on the road for my annual trip to what I call the
mecca of speed - no not Bonneville- I know this is the real Mecca of speed
to most of you but for me Maxton is as good as or better than Christmas.I'm
reading with real interest what everyone of you have reported from
Bonneville but having never been there and it ain't gonna happen for another
two years- I just can't relate really. It is like driving in street class
and listening to top fuel drivers talk- you wish like anything you knew
first hand what they were talking about, and you respect what they have to
say and hope to learn from it, but you really can't understand it cause you
don't drive one- so I talk of Maxton like it was Bonneville and up here no
one has the slightest idea what I'm talking about- It is lonely to be a
land-speed racer in Canada. Can't wait to rub elbows with other LAND_SPEED
RACERS!
