Let's leave them all at home. Let them write what ever they want. I've got
the world's fastest American Austin roadster with a GMC engine. So what,
who really cares! Only those want come and get it and those who recognize
the achievement. In reality those us who enjoy what we do, love to share it
with our friends who may or may not share our enthusiasm. But that's what
all this is about. If I was in the engine business and had the opportunity
to have a few in record setting vehicles; I would most likely advertise it
and hope for more business and more record setting cars. Same for vehicle
construction. But I assemble my own engines, build my own cars, like many
many of us and will continue to enjoy it. We only are the keeper of the
records for a time, some for minutes, some for days, and the lucky ones for
years. Keep thinking positive, set goals that are attainable so you can set
them again, and keep building those new and better cars and engines. Hope
to see you all in "Engine Certification" on your return runs...J.D.
