Okay now for the real reason I went to California in the first place...
Tanis had invited me to come fly her Bell Jet Ranger... it's a helicopter
sorta... in actuality it's a Beautiful, exceptionally well maintained toy that
Seth just had to have... and since Tonya had never been up in a Helicopter the
opportunity was just to cool to pass up.
Our little trip to Santa Barbara was killer... Seth's office it
unbelievable... airplane hanging from the ceiling... Track style roadster on
wall... and memorabilia from three life times of aviation.. don't forget the
Tractor sitting up on a shelf...
Then we had the opportunity to go flying with Tanis... she's had her lic. for
a while and she's one of the few folks I know that don't have a fixed wing
lic. to go with the Rotary wing ticket... Having evaluated many pilots over
the years ... I'd say her training was wonderful.... she was totally at home
with all of it.. very comfortable to fly with... and she even let me wiggle
the sticks a bit... which was a gas ... it's been a while...
Anyway if you ever get the invite... don't pass on the opportunity... these
folks were truly wonderful...
