Just received this from a former neighbor. It will be interesting to see
how soon the media picks up on this information from their sources.
P.S. I had guard duty last night with an agent from the U.S. Customs
department. He has been part of the team rounding up stolen relics from the
museum, and at latest count, only 34 items are still missing and unaccounted
for. Many items have walked back all on their own; museum personnel seem to
have taken a great many of them and are returning them now that they can be
sure they will be safe. Even more interesting is that many of the items
that were stolen were not originals! They were replicas on display while
the real items are in storage in secure locations throughout the city.
Although they will still be fairly expensive to re-reproduce, it's still a
far cry better than having to stomach the loss of the real items.
