the condition of the salt can make a lot if difference.
At World Finals this year everything was so smooth, sometimes I didn't even
look for a turnout-- just turned when I got good and ready.
If Bill has missed a turnout last year, the "crunchies" would have stopped
him before he got anywhere near the return road (assuming he was power-off)
