Dick, Go with the brakes! I made a very exciting decent from Monticello
beside an 18 wheeler, in my Ford 1ton dually pulling the Chocked Full Of
Nuts truck and needed a lot more brake than I had. New pads (hd towing) on
the truck and 2 axle trailer brakes, that worked well--- on the flat area
here and most everywhere else.

without them, but the flatbed is so much smaller and lighter. I saved the
anti-sway device and load equalizer from the enclosed trailer, and have been
very happy with their assistance on the smaller open trailer. I'll continue
to use those devices, but what about brakes? Comments?
