Thanks for the replies so far.

Apologies to Skip, Al, and others who use the staggered arrangement on a
'liner that I didn't name.

I was not aware that George had covered his front wheels - but due to the
air movement from a pair of open wheels - that was my starting point.  

Lets make a Comp Coupe more like some of the liners ..... and as the nose
on many Comp Coupes, such as the Trackmaster car, have become needle
like.......... lets get the front wheels right out of sight.  What you end
up with is a side by side two seater 'liner in size. Yes the body work will
widen as you go from front wheels to the rear ........... past the motor
and then the 'original' body (with the rear wheels tucked in and covered)
but the air should flow well........well thats what this mind is picturing!
 And the rules allow a roof chop that allows major height reduction too.

Yes, the body has to stay stock width - but there are some good examples of
narrow "four seater" bodies from the past (such as the Simca).  Much
narrower than the more modern Chevette or Corvette (just joking with you
John) or Firebird.  Narrow to me means less frontal area to push.

As my thoughts are on a 50+ year old body........which matches the age of
this drivers own torso......it all seems doable.  Now all I need is a
200mph class to run at ..... and rebuilding my stock of conventional motor
and transmission parts .... and some funds ...and some time
.......and........ Well, we all face these problems too.

I will bench race this some more in the coming weeks..........but does this
mean ultimately a need to move to Pahrump Nv. USA?
