Seems like a hot topic and an important issue for LSR. NASCAR has penalties
for using the illegal devices too. Big ones, six figures and worse. But the
racers apparently do it anyway, and to the best of my knowledge haven't
gotten caught. F1 was in the same boat (think they legalized it since they
couldn't control its use).
Biggest problem I see is that the rich racer (maybe it aint that expensive
either) who can afford the hidden device, and installs it someplace where it
can't be found, has an big advantage over the rest of us competitors. Just
cause SCTA is a trusting organization or that we don't have huge cash purses
doesn't mean cheating doesn't exist.
The inspectors can check every electron in my car and the only traction
control to be found will be the one in the drivers seat.
