I have the same situation here in Dallas, Rick. Plus, my wife decided to go
to grad school in Philly, which eats up a lot of racing parts $$$$$$. I have
already bought almost all my big ticket items, and there is still a chance I
will get there this year. Jerry

I'm finally out of the garage long enough to write a few notes.
Keith's prodding makes me finally admit that my new Lakester (linerwannabe)
will not make it to the salt this year. I have totally run out of money
that may be spent on this hot rod and the current state of the market (my
401 and IRA) just make it impossible for me to mortgage our future any more
than I already have.
It took a long time for me to admit, but I just can't finish it to really
be
ready to go fast this year.
I am not taking time off, though, except to have a life besides the car (my
words, not the little red haired girls). There is still some big ticket
items to buy, but I already have much that is required and nothing will
stop
work. What is completed or nearly finished is turning out quite nice
indeed, and so far, I am happy. As many of you know, working completely
alone makes things go more slowly, but the results are a pure reflection of
ones self.
I am having a ball working on this car, and while I will miss having it at
Speedweek this year, but I'll be there.
