Good Brian, that's the first ray of light in the darkness, hope you can
find that item. It does make sense that an aluminum crankcase would be
weak in the center main web area on the Flathead since it is the weakest
area in the iron block.  But how would the said aluminum engine ever
pass prolonged full-power durability tests? Who wants to fly a plane
with a dodgy engine?  Not me.  Bill
