Hi Keith and Terry,

When you decide to run a spool, you also decide to weight the car properly.
Keith talked about stagger...well he is right on target. The real trick is
to get the weight right at speed. Aero loading is just as important as
static loading, as it can push down on a corner of the car that you did not
expect. Torque is also a factor. Lots of stuff to consider. No problem for
my car, as it turned out, but it sure can be for cars that were not
designed to run 200 MPH+. Anyway...a spool is the best way to go for max
traction.....weight the car......drive carefully until you learn how it
handles and maybe adjust the aerodynamics....spoilers, fences, etc. I think
you're right on track with the throttle ratio/position adjustment. I'd be
careful, though, with gear ratio changes on the dirt to fix handling. Could
make the problem worse. But maybe an expert on dirt will chime in?
Hang in there...it'll work.
