Find an eye specialist who can get you what you need.
Correction can be done for any distance from about 1 inch
to infinity.
I have a set of "terminal" glasses optimized for 28 inches.
Just measure the distance and get a lenses made to that spec.
They had me hold the reading distance test card at that
distance while they tested my eyes. Works great.
They should be able to do the same for you at 6 inches or 6 feet.
