...is it really where to camp for Speed Week,

SURE IS! ...IF YOU LIKE TO SOCIALIZE WITH OTHER RODDERS. IT'S A LOT OF
FUN AND A GREAT BUNCH OF FOLKS. GET THERE EARLY ENOUGH AND YOU CAN SEE
EVERY LAST RACE CAR GO BY -IT'S "THE ONLY WAY IN" :=) -AND THE ONLY WAY
OUT.

hey? Please forgive my ignorance, but first-timers get another chance,
don't we?
OF COURSE! BUT JUST ONE...... LOL!

Anyhow, when Nancy and I show up on 10 August or so in an RV -is it a real
campground at the bend of the road, or is it your (how do I say?) ad hoc,
impromptu,

THE SECOND. ad hoc, impromptu, -ITS HIGH DESERT MAN...NUTTIN' BUT "DIRT"
AND LOTS OF LAFFS, LIK I SED, A REAL GOOD BUNCH OF FOLKS. SOME IN TENTS,
SOME WITH PICKUP CAMPERS, SOME WITH MOTOR HOMES. A BONUS IS THAT IT'S REAL
CLOSE TO THE ACTION! ...AND HANDY TO WENDOVER AS WELL. HELL, "YOU'RE THE
CENTER OF ATTENTION"!

-BESIDES THE "LOT RENT" IS SUPER CHEAP :=)

" don't bring glass-or-weed-or-you'll-get-busted piece of ground
where we can park? Is it real, with stuff like water and other useful
utilities, or should we pack in full-and-empty canisters?"

PACK ALL THE LIQUIDS YOU CAN. IT'S AS DRY AS A POPCORN FA-- !
THERE'S A NICE TRUCKSTOP 2 MILES SOUTH AT THE I-80 EXIT WHERE YOU CAN GET
SUPPLIES AND A GOOD SHOWER. PLUS I BELIEVE THE SAME IS AVAILABLE AT THE KOA
IN WENDOVER FOR A FEE......
STATE LINE (IN NEVADA) IS A DANDY PLACE TO CHOW DOWN AT NIGHT -AT FAIRLY
REASONABLE PRICES. EAT LIKE FOOOoooL. TAKE IT FROM ONE WHO KNOWS HOW TO
SURVIVE AT BONNEVILLE ON "TWENNY DOLLAS A DAY"!

I look forward to seeing you there.
-I WISH I COULD GO THIS YEAR, BUT, YOU KNOW HOW IT IS...

YOU GO, HAVE A BALL, BUT BE REAL CAREFUL OF SALT SPIDERS.
-ONCE YOU GET BIT, YOU'LL BE GOING BACK EVERY YEAR......

Jon Here in Marquette, Michigan, it's all of 45 degrees and rainy. Welcome
to summer in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

    -"DOUG DOWN SOUTH"
-in exile, in south NuYawk where it's all of 45 degrees and rainy too!
