An article in the L.A. Times Sports page this morning states a fan has given
a video tape to Bill Simpson showing a EMT going into the car a with a
knife. Simpson stated it looked like the belt had been cut. They are
enhancing the video for clarity.
Most rescue personnel carry belt cutting equipment in their safety kits.
