UK Magazine has published its february 2001 issue with the story and
pictures of the 52nd Speed Week by Steve Goodridge. Steve is a regular UK
journalist visitor to the event. This years article covers 4 pages but
shows no Camaro and no purple firesuit - clearly the author needs some
education!
The mix of photos includes howard Nafzger alongside the 'liner. The Kugel
and LeFevers Firebird. the Dozier and Hegerty 'Airflow'. Al Teague with
his 'liner and the Phoenix truck. A nice shot of the Walsh, Walsh & Cusack
A/BSTR 333 car with the chute out. The words refer amongst others to Dave
Thomssen.
