Yeah, it became apparent by the number of
responses that 7500 was crazy for what I've got.
I think I'll stick with 6200 with stock heads and
a good cam, and then (after saving a suitable
amount of pennies) I will get a set of Dart heads
and raise my red line to about 6500. That will
give me all the speed I need, providing I put in
the right gears. The big advantage to me, is by
limiting to 6500, my motor should live longer
than I will, thus keeping my racing budget down
to a realistic figure. After all, my soon-to-be
relief-driver will be a soon-to-be-college-
student before long, and I remember how that went
back when I put the last three through college!
