Hey list I have some of those newbie questions.
I am going to be taking advantage of as much belly
pan as possible in the Porsche "thing". I was
wondering about the lower a arms though .
On the one hand I figured that making a small
covering for the bottom of the lower a arms would be a
good idea. When the car is at ride height it would be
one continuous pan.
Two thoughts crossed my mind
Wouldn't there have to be some sort of pressure
release for the air that could make its way into the
"nose" ? There is no way to seal it up tight and still
have some sort of suspension travel -- Right ? I would
think a bump would suddenly fill the nose with a
sudden stream of air and cause some problems
Also whats to keep that little "a arm belly pan " from
creating lift if it should come out of the airstream
with suspension movement? I know the salt isn't like a
pool table so the suspension will have some travel .
I guess another alternative is to run a continuous pan
with the a arm pick up points within that area ( nose
)with just a space for the wheels to move . Still you
have the pressure problem , though.
What are people running in full belly pan cars ?
I know some people didn't like it but I have watched
the LSR special like four times now.
Anyway , your input would help me in this belly pan
thing .
