All the Jabsco pumps I have seen have a 200 degree f top temperture limit and I 
have to agree with Rich, about their lack of performance. I started using the 
remote Dedenbear unit and never had a problem. Those pumps are 3 x the cost of 
the Jabsco but they are a high quality product.

Rich,
    I've heard that the reason for problem with the Jabsco-type pump is 
because it's intended to be a bilge pump circulating cool water. Supposedly 
the hot water gives it problems. Some guys, though, claim they run bilge 
pumps on cooling systems with no problems.
    I use a Borba's cooling pump and it works well......Ardun Doug from
