Richard,
Definitely your oil pressure gauge, good thing you were wearing pants inste=
ad of shorts as you would have found the oil pretty warm on your skin. I wo=
uld suggest that you make a small gasket out of leather with a hole in the =
middle just big enough so that the probe can get through. That will solve y=
our problem.

Subject: [Healeys] Oil Leak
Greetings Healeyphiles,
I noticed several oil spots on my left pant leg front when I returned ye=
sterday from a 250 mile drive indicating that the source was somewhere unde=
r the dash. The speedometer cable was replaced a few weeks prior to this ro=
ad trip. No other work has been done under the dash. Could the speedo cable=
possibly be the source of the leak and if so, what need I do to stop it? W=
here else should I look if the speedo cable is not the culprit. Thanks for =
your collective wisdom..
