I don't profess to be an expert coachbuilder but have had considerable
success following the procedure demonstrated to me many years back.
Install the door on its hinges completely bare, no latches, no liner, no
door seals, no combing and then make the necessary adjustments to ensure
that it fits correctly into its aperture with correct gaps.
If the door will not fit "bare" significant alterations will be necessary.
After that is correct start adding things one at a time ensuring that the
fit of the door is adversely affected by what you just fitted.
Takes a while but has always served me well.
