Word to the wise.
I recently installed a new County oil pump in my AH 3000. The
engine builder took the brand new pump apart to inspect and found a
significant amount of flashing from the housing casting inside the pump.
The pump housing was cleaned up with a small die grinder and reassembled.
The flashing was both impeding flow and could have easily come loose at
some point.
Oil pressure on the finished engine is good. Whatever pump you buy, take it
apart for inspection first.
