Harold,
Copper hammers are a very bad idea to actually use on your chrome knock-off=
s because of "work-hardening" - i.e. if you get a piece of metal or length =
of wire and bend it backwards and forwards repeatedly it gets hard and even=
tually breaks - that is what happens to the face of a copper hammer and pla=
ys havoc with the chrome plating.=C2=A0 Great for concours but practically =
useless.=C2=A0 I use lead.

I have copper hammers and deadblow plastic hammers. Both will damage a knoc=
koff. Knockoffs tighten when the car is driven and can be extremely hard to=
remove. The best tool I have found is very expensive, but it was worth it =
to me because it makes it very easy to loosen and remove a knockoff. You ca=

Subject: [Healeys] Hammer for Wire Wheels
=C2=A0
Hello,
=C2=A0
In the service parts list for my BT7 there is a "Hammer - copper 11B5166" w=
hich is part of the tool kit. From other online sources I have concluded th=
e hammer is a Thor brand. What is the model/part no.? Is it copper on both =
sides or copper and rawhide and what is the weight?
=C2=A0
Thanks... harold
