Great knowledge and ideas from ALL. The grommet idea makes sense. =
Interestingly, the Concours Guidelines are silent on this (another =
example that the =E2=80=9CGuidelines=E2=80=9D are not all inclusive and =
just that, GUIDELINES. I have spoken with a restoration person/retired =
Concours judge and it was he that suggested the Lucas battery box (a =
plastic? black box that has the recessed imprint =E2=80=9CLucas=E2=80=9D =
on the box. The Guidelines do mention that one cant find the factory =
original battery and there is an acceptable replacement. All of your =
responses are an example of the uncertainty in such situations. I will =
speak with Roger Moment, and see what he suggests and report back. =
