I did put in a claim for a complete loss. They were great to work with and =
no hassles. I would expect the same for you. Just be honest and let them kn=
ow your plans. They understand people working on their own cars and they al=
so understand your time is not "free".
To cover yourself, go to a local shop, explain your problem and get a ball =
park estimate. Relay that information to Hagerty. I have no real idea what =
they will say, but if my experience with them is relevant, they will work w=
ith you. Not, against you.
