Supplemental request. Could someone with a BJ7 or BJ8, with the later =
coil spring to hold the wiper arm to the windscreen, measure the length =
of the arm for me. The convertibles had higher windscreens than the =
roadsters and I am wondering if the wiper arms are longer.

Thanks - Mirek

Hi Mirek,

The roadster arms are indeed quite different than the convertible arms. =
The pre-BJ7 arms have a leaf spring and they are straight (blades are =
parallel to the arms), with a J-shaped insert into the blade. BJ7 and =
BJ8 arms have a coil spring and have a straight push into the blade. The =
BJ7/8 arms are are bent at the ends so the blades park along the bottom =
windshield rubber. There was a difference also between BJ7 and BJ8 arms =
in that the BJ7 arms were not able to sit up off the windshield by =
themselves when lifted, but the BJ8 arms stayed upright.

Best,

Peter
