=20

The AC badge on the grille sort of gives it away.

=20

The AC Buckland was introduced in 1948 with styling similar to other =
marques like Healey, Lea Francis and the like. It was powered by =
AC=E2=80=99s own two-litre six-cylinder engine and four-speed gearbox.

=20

It was to be a few years before Shelby shoehorned a V8 into an AC Ace =
and called it a Cobra.

=20

Notice the similarity to the Healey Westland Roadster shown here from =
DMH book "My World of Cars" pg.84. Body built by Westland. On the left =
is the Elliott sedan, with body by Elliott coach builders.

=20

Healey liked those vertical bar grilles, as he assumed they expressed =
elegance in design. It appears that someone else also like the same =
configuration and shape. How Donald allowed the standard Austin grille =
to be used on the 100-6 is a mystery-must have been out voted by the =
design committee. Hank

A friend has asked me to identify the sports car in an old family =
photo=E2=80=A6and I=E2=80=99m stumped.=20

It actually bears a little resemblance to some of the non-dustin Healey, =
but doesn't have quite the Healey grille.

Anyone know what it is?
