v belt for the pulley. The amount of belt that is above the pulley is calle=
d Ride-Out. All v belts should have a positive ride out to confirm the belt=
 is not bottoming out, is contacting the sides of the pulley and to visuall=
y gauge wear. I have a Healey BT7 with 3/8=E2=80=9D width nominal (0.380=E2=
=80=9D actual SAE size) and I assume the BN2 has the same width pulleys. Th=
e SAE standard for Ride Out for a 3/8=E2=80=9D pulley is 0.060 +/- 0.045=E2=
=80=9D. Your 1/8=E2=80=9D Ride Out is very slightly over but I suspect once=
 the belt is adjusted and run in it will fall within the SAE tolerance.</p>=
<p class=3DMsoNormal><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></p><p class=3DMsoNormal>There are me=
tric pulleys which use a 10mm width belt that is slightly too narrow for th=
e 3/8=E2=80=9D pulley. A 10mm belt in a 3/8=E2=80=9D pulley tends to sit fl=
ush or slightly below the outside diameter of the 3/8=E2=80=9D pulley but t=
his is not the correct belt. However, I suspect some will argue their 10mm =
belt works just fine and it probably will but you run the risk of the belt =
bottoming out and loosing the visual check of belt wear.</p><p class=3DMsoN=

Moss.&nbsp; $23.00 by the way.&nbsp; If you like in the picture below, you =
can see the fan belt sticking above the water pump pulley by an 1/8th if an=
 inch.&nbsp; I know it is supposed to ride in the pulley against the angled=
 walls, not bottom out, but this belt sticks above all three pulleys by 1/8=
th of an inch.&nbsp; Just don't seem right to me.&nbsp; The second picture =
is one of the generic belts that a few on the list suggested.&nbsp; As you =
can see it fits deep in the pulley and actually bottoms out in all three.&n=
bsp; That doesn't seem right either.&nbsp; What the heck?</p><div><p class=
