When I bought my BJ8 in 1984, the odometer was not working. It read =
51,788 miles. When I opened the unit I discovered a small spring and =
lever arm lying in the bottom of the case. After I determined where =
those came from and reinstalled them, the odo has worked perfectly ever =
since. Not knowing the mileage exactly, I had no problem zeroing it =
out. It now shows 123,834 miles. I=E2=80=99m a great believer in log =
books for cars for recording their history.
