Also being that the front sections of the inner fenders are missing, and =
you have no air director panels, no air was going through the radiator. =
I would address that first.
The flattened fins can be "combed" straight so air would flow through =
them.

to an all aluminum radiator and different fan. Still have all the parts =
to go back to original if I wish.
