Does anyone know for sure, as in dyno test results, if the standard filters=
are that bad...I would have thought that BMC would have tested them pretty=
carefully.....they wanted 150 HP and replacing the filters would have been=
"cheap" horsepower.

K & N does not make a filter for the 2=E2=80=9D HD8 carbs. They do make a =
filter that has a blank plate that can be made to fit your carb. So then yo=
u could make an off set mounting plate.

I am considering to replace the std. airfilters by K&N airfiters. Would lik=
e to know the experience of the forum on this.
I drive a 1964 A-H 3000 BJ8 phase 2 with HD8 carbs. It was told to me that=
the std . K&N would not fit because insuffient space under the bonnet.
I was advised to look for conic ones. Is this correct? Checked the interne=
t ,but cannot find them.
Would appreciate any comment in this matter.
