Dennis Welch sells a modified tappet for the 100-4 where he machines a groove down the side from the bottom hole to the tappet face. He claims this gets more lubrication to the tappet face and the cam. Also, the tappet itself does not fill with oil resulting in less weight to shove up and down. Is this really a problem?
