I tried riveting the 5/16 steel rivets today. No way with the air hammer I have(lenty good for aluminium rivets). Per old McMaster Carr catalogs a hammer good enough for 1/4 is pushing $500. Am I breaking new ground, trying to put in new rivets? What have others used? a sledgehammer? a machine shop?
