Thank you Craig. Then if I'm not mistaken, the two piece dash would have
also changed shape slightly at that point. The arch where the steering shaft
goes through would be smaller (or narrower) because it didn't have to
accommodate the adjustable boss tightening nut.

The adjustable steering column was discontinued at Body Number 1001,
Car/Chassis Number 149930.
